In the New Year, Acer, the Taiwanese multinational hardware and Electronics Corporation has plans to launch a $99, Android powered tablet. They may do this in the beginning of the year 2013. The news came from the anonymous source for the Wall Street Journal.

It may be a 7-inch device that will run on Android version 4.1 Jelly Bean. It will reportedly be called the Iconia B1. This tablet may be positioned for developing markets. But, we will hardly be able to see it in the U.S. market, especially with this price tag.

There are numerous brands available in the 7-inhce tablet range, and they are chosen by users for both attractive prices and advanced functionalities. We have Kindle Fire and Google’s newly launched Nexus 7. iPad Mini also falls in the same category.

In last few months, we have seen several changes in the market. We have seen how an elite brand like Apple also agreed to launch a version of iPad tablet for low-end tablet market.

Let’s see what wonder Acer does with its device.
