HBO Go blesses Android tablets with new app

HBO’s streaming anywhere service HBO Go is now available on Android tablet too, but the requirement is that your device will be running on 4.06 (Ice Cream Sandwich). HBO Go has launched its Android version of the app on Google Android store. The app for Amazon’s Android-based Kindle Fire has already been launched in June.
The timing for this app is perfect as people are planning to buy Google’s Nexus 7 and this app will be an additional attraction. However, it depends on HBO if it updates its app HBO Go to function on Jelly Bean too.
For now, users with tabs running on Ice Cream Sandwich will be able to get a weekly fix of True Blood, Newsroom as well as previous episodes of Veep, Game of Thrones, The Wire, Boardwalk Empire and lots of others.
Users planning to access the app HBO Go will need to subscribe to traditional cable provider with monthly HBO content package.
