Koreans admitted iPhone has better quality than Samsung’s Galaxy

Samsung, the Korean electronic device manufacturer is nowadays capturing the attention of everyone for its smartphones. Its Galaxy smartphone series has received considerable reputation all over the world. With Galaxy’s success, Samsung also became world’s top mobile seller last year. But story is little different in its homeland. In a recently conducted survey, 44168 people admitted that iPhone has better quality than Samsung’s Galaxy mobile phones.
In this survey, only 17 percent Korean respondents have some kind of issue with their Apple smartphone while 31 percent agreed that they are experiencing problems in their Android powered Samsung Galaxy smartphones. Most of the Korean Galaxy users reported that they have been experiencing significant charging problems and screen quality issues.
Apple is one of the leading foreign smartphone manufacturers in Korea. However along with Apple, other manufacturers such as Motorola, HTC, Nokia and BlackBerry have been facing a difficult time to penetrate in market. They still have sub-one-percent market share in the country.
In 2010, Apple had a market share of 20 percent in Korea but this dropped to single digit in 2013. In the mean time, Samsung has captured 65 percent domestic market share while LG, Pantech and two other Korean manufacturers have succeeded to slice a corner of 15 percent market share.
