Nowadays mobile market has been featured by two heavy weight handhelds i.e. Blackberry and Apple iPhone. There is a battle between these two devices that directly recreates the long-running head-to-head competition until other devices promises to lead the market. Experts say, by any rational measure, iPhone and Blackberry perform well equally.
In the last couple of years several Blackberry phones have come out and have been labeled as ‘iPhone Killer’. But the market says, the iPhone just refuses to go away. The great debate is around which handheld is better when each one is constantly trying to go one up.
The target market of these two handhelds has been starting to overlap each other. iPhone offers consumers’ dream like movie, music etc while Blackberry is full fine-tuned for corporate users. But the battle is less for heart and mind than for thumbs and ears.
iPhone has a faster CPU than Blackberry. In everyday use, iphone is bit larger than Blackberry but that does not make any noticeable difference. But the difference is found in power and performance of these two devices. Blackberry is designed to satisfy corporate buyers; their machines have more text-message and e-mail capacity than iPhones. Blackberries change voice to text and text to voice more adroitly than iPhones, and they manage messages more efficiently.
The fact is that hardly anyone judges handhelds by the in-built features of their devices. Most importantly, applications supported by the devices make the difference between two. That still makes these two devices side by side
