  3. Offshore Development
    1. Time & Material
      Many a times the scope, specification and implementation plans of an engagement are not decided at the time of project kick-off. This can sometimes also happen with projects that involve a lot of R&D activity. In such cases the effort estimation is not possible at the very outset and billing is done on the basis of resource utilization deployment. A particular rate is associated with each resource type depending on their skill set, experience and role in the project. A pre-agreed rate is charged until full project is delivered according to the time expended by the resource, For example billing can be done on hourly, weekly or monthly basis.
    2. Fixed Bid
      Projects with well defined scope, specification and implementation plan can be executed on fixed time with fixed prices. On the basis of project details estimation for the project and engagement is done. Payment model for such engagement is done either based on milestones that are marked with specific delivery or at defined interval of time after completion of certain task. Any modifications or enhancements are provisioned and managed through Change Management Process.
    3. Hybrid Model
      We at Rapidsoft offer hybrid engagement model as well because there are times when the client wants to work with a fixed price/fixed time engagement but the scope of the project is not defined or the project is evolving in nature. In such cases the team works on time and material model to etch various details and deployment needs of the project. Later on with the help of these carved out specifications and other plans, estimation of the engagement is done in terms of deliverable, timelines and costs. The project is then executed as fixed time, fixed price engagement.
